This is a great price for this size of a safe. Far cheaper than at the big box stores. We bought this in hopes of keeping a few things private in a house with teenagers. I would say that the thickness of the safe and the fact that it has one of those circle key holes really helped. One of our kids enjoys the thrill of picking locks. Kids these days. So we have tried other safes with the regular key slot and that did not withstand his skill level. It comes with anchors to screw down the safe. This is good in case you forget where you put your safe. We must be getting older because believe it or not sometimes our safes in the past have moved. The anchors are also good so that one doesn't repeatedly drop the safe testing the durability of the lock. We did not set up the key pad. Im sure the convience of having the code lock is good for some. BTW Amazon also sells a lock picking practice set. I do not recommend it. This safe, I highly recommend.
